About Us is an early-stage nonprofit dedicated to offering an accelerated pathway into the technology industry for college students all across the US, with an emphasis on serving underserved, low-income, and first-generation students. We offer a variety of courses and services to students both directly on-campuses at colleges and remotely using video classrooms with instructors and TAs. All of these courses and services are offered to students entirely for free, funded directly by the technology industry in order to invest in the next generation of talented software engineers.

Our vision is that every student in college, regardless of background or personal circumstances, should have the opportunity, skills, network, and pathways available to become a confident and successful software engineer in the tech industry. develops and delivers a wide variety of programs and supports students over multiple years, reaching students in college starting before Freshman year and then all the way through to post-graduation and entering full-time software roles. provides curriculum and programs for college students all across the United States, often offered for-credit at campuses, including at many HBCUs, HSIs, women’s colleges, and state colleges. is supported directly by the technology industry including Microsoft, Facebook,, and many more.

The Role 

The overall mission of the Director of Immersives is to manage, design and implement effective, scalable programs that bridge the gap between underserved students and the tech industry. This role collaborates across stakeholder groups to run high quality programs, integrate new design strategies, operationalize results and actions of tests and prototypes in the core learning model, and facilitate various operational processes within the Delivery team. The Director will oversee all of our Immersive programs and be focused on supporting our programs teams, leading the overall programmatic plan with internal & external stakeholders to meet scale and quality metrics, supporting the development of annual strategy planning and leading the quarterly OKR success with a team of 2 Instructional Program Managers. Specifically with an emphasis on building out our internal Immersive programs team & capacity, staffing, and onboarding technical contractors, streamlining our course deployment processes, and coordinating with our operations team to strengthen our course infrastructure.


  1. Manage amazing immersive learning experiences and manage a community of Instructional Program Managers to effectively work with our Instructors, TechFellows, mentors and industry professionals to easily deliver a CodePath across a variety of implementations.

  2. Core CodePath representative to work with Employer sponsors for customized enterprise accounts.

  3. Manage internal Immersive programs prioritization planning and assist with evaluation of resource capacity and planning.

  4. Plan, monitor, and maintain information on multiple initiatives, including coordination of interdependencies among CodePath stakeholders and employer sponsors.

  5. Align all Immersive program offerings to support our primary population, undergraduate students from low-income, first-generation, and/or Black/Latinx/Indigenous backgrounds.

  6. Ensure all learning environments are culturally responsive, inclusive, and a place where students feel safe and excited to learn.

  7. Support the deployment of Immersive programs that consistently meet quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be a well-rounded educator - a mission-aligned, technical learner, and analytical problem solver who builds great relationships and understands the daily realities of operating best-in-class academic programs for underserved student populations. You are a dynamic, inspiring leader with a vision for creating inclusive educational spaces and a passion for empowering students, particularly those who identify with underrepresented groups in tech. You are also scrappy, collaborative, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in leading educational programs and initiatives.


  • Manage a team of Instructional Program Managers [IPMs] to develop objective performance measurements across all Immersive programs to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all program managers.

  • Recruit, hire, and oversee training and orientation of all Immersive programs members.

  • Manage workload of IPMS in partnership with the Director of Programs to ensure all Connected classrooms, For -credit Campus and Immersive programs are accurately staffed.

  • Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all IPM team members.

  • Collaborate as a part of a fast-moving, agile team that conceptualizes, prototypes, stands up, and iterates new programs.

  • Consult on the operationalization of existing and new programs, working across departments with a wide variety of stakeholders

  • Effectively lead cross-functional teams to strategically advance organizational goals and understanding of our programs impact, quality and scale.

  • Manage internal prioritization planning and assist with evaluation of resource capacity and planning.

  • Plan, monitor, and maintain information on multiple initiatives, including coordination of interdependencies among initiatives

  • Coordinate with the revenue, career center, curriculum and operations teams to collect the data, student/stakeholder surveys, and information needed to evaluate and report on our programs.

  • Drive, track and report immersive program health in and provide more intensive support and interventions as needed.

  • Educate and communicate with all levels of the organization to share immersive program updates and outcomes.

  • Exceptional manager and leader with intuitive negotiation, conflict management, and communication skills. Leads a team by example and demonstrates the ability to engage effectively with other stakeholders throughout the organization.

  • 3 yrs. Experience working with enterprise clients for the creation of education partnerships programs.

  • Knowledge and experience with Computer Science Degree pathways in Higher Education (undergraduate and graduate) and Special Programs/alternative academic modalities (badging, stackable credentials, bootcamp and short term training programs).

  • Able to acquire and use data to identify opportunities for improvement in student success metrics and learning experiences. Able to help craft and implement strategic initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary and social justice issues in higher education, including new trends, models and issues of concern

  • 5+ years of classroom experience with a demonstrated track record of educational excellence, CS/STEM field and ideally at a high school or college level. Could include experiences in workforce development, university recruiting or apprenticeship programs.

  • 5+ years of experience in school leadership, program management, or similar field, with at least 1+ years of experience in a role involving instructional coaching/teacher training.

  • Computer science (or related field) degree, or comparable experience working in/learning software development.

  • Able to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage time efficiently, and collaborate across many different stakeholders.

  • Experience working through ambiguity to launch a program, set goals, and meet KPIs.
