About the Role

The mission of the Learning Experience Program Manager is to ensure that CodePath’s vision of educational excellence is implemented faithfully across a wide range of program sites. The Learning Experience Program Manager will oversee the planning and execution of a portfolio of CodePath programs. They will ensure consistent quality experiences throughout one or more programs. Every CodePath program has deep context and history around it, and our Learning Experience program manager will play a central role in managing and designing learning experiences that are learner centered. The goal of a Learning Experience program manager is to deeply understand the user experience as it relates to the learning environment and curriculum.

The Learning Experience Program Manager’s role is to manage program strategy and execution across a diverse portfolio of program sites, with the goal of establishing successful, scalable instructional support for our program facilitators and industry mentors. The Learning Experience Program Manager is responsible for the day to day management including but not limited to providing instructional coaching and support throughout program execution, documenting program management best-practices, and analyzing program data to improve our overall practices each semester. This role will lead the development, design and execute a learner centered practice and approach to designing our learning experiences for our learners.

About Us 


CodePath.org is an early-stage nonprofit dedicated to offering an accelerated pathway into the technology industry for college students all across the US, with an emphasis on serving underserved, low-income, and first-generation students. We offer a variety of courses and services to students both directly on-campuses at colleges and remotely using video classrooms with instructors and TAs. All of these courses and services are offered to students entirely for free, funded directly by the technology industry in order to invest in the next generation of talented software engineers.

Our vision is that every student in college, regardless of background or personal circumstances, should have the opportunity, skills, network, and pathways available to become a confident and successful software engineer in the tech industry. CodePath.org develops and delivers a wide variety of programs and supports students over multiple years, reaching students in college starting before Freshman year and then all the way through to post-graduation and entering full-time software roles.

CodePath.org provides curriculum and programs for college students all across the United States, often offered for-credit at campuses, including at many HBCUs, HSIs, women’s colleges, and state colleges. Requirements

Key Activities

    • Run end to end 3 month full time immersive programs, leading the selection and training of instructors, student facilitators and volunteers on campuses across the country.

    • Work closely with industry experts and employer partners in the design, delivery and execution of the program/s.

    • Drive operational excellence through appropriate resource allocation, detailed program planning, and effective project management to ensure that goals are met efficiently and effectively, obstacles are removed, and executional risk is minimized

    • Proactively identify opportunities and gaps, and use judgment and discretion to build a coherent strategy and solution for addressing these issues with measurable KPIs

    • Drive, track and report program health to identify sites in need of more intensive support and intervention.

    • Work with curriculum teams to standardize patterns and components for base curricular products.

    • Develop a process for understanding and operationalizing the learning journey and embed across all programs.

    • Manage a portfolio of learning experience solutions with measurable results, working directly with the curriculum department in the development of high quality program and content improvements.

    • Educate and communicate with all levels of management to produce learning outcomes consistency across all programs.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of facilitated and non-facilitated training methodologies and tools

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience designing learning experiences and working on content and curriculum improvements.

    • 2+ years of experience in school leadership, program management, or similar field, with at least 1+ years of experience in a role involving instructional coaching/teacher training.

    • Past success producing learning materials and training that generated planned positive outcomes and timely results tied to key performance initiatives and areas critical for operational and/or organizational success.

    • Curiosity to explore, implement and integrate new technologies. Overall aptitude for learning emerging technologies quickly and providing support for system users.

    • Demonstrated track record of solving educational problems using data and insights.

    • Computer science (or related field) degree, or comparable experience working in/learning software development.

    • Comfortable with different methods of managing engineering and design projects, and feel comfortable tailoring the process to the problem at hand.

    • Experience working as a developer, or with CodePath’s technologies (iOS/Android development, cybersecurity) a plus

    • Are able to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage time efficiently, and collaborate across many different stakeholders.

    • Experience working through ambiguity to develop a strategy, set goals, and execute
